It’s Stampede time in Calgary. Back home from a day of roping and riding with the little ones, pull off the cowboy boots and relax in the backyard with some fresh cookies and milk.
USE ROLLER AND SCRAPER
- 1 cup softened margarine
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 2 cups white flour
- 1 cup chocolate chips or raisins (today I used mini M & M’s)
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix first 5 ingredients for about 1 minute then add flour, oats and chips or raisins. Whip on high for about 3 minutes. Drop by spoonful onto cookie sheet. Bake till done (do not overbake) about 10 minutes. Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
