Candy Corn Sugar Cookies

A Fun Treat to make for or with your little ones.

Here is a Halloween treat we will all have fun making and eating.  Thanks to Assistent Original Owner Stephanie Davies for sharing this recipe with us.

Use Roller and scraper.  Must be mixed together day before or at least several hours ahead .

  • 1 cups softened butter
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp almond or vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Whip together butter and sugar till well blended.  Add remaining ingredients and whip for 2 minutes at about 4 o’clock on the speed dial till nice and fluffy.

Separate dough into thirds.  Leave one third as is and to another add yellow food coloring and to the last third orange food coloring.

Roll each into a rectangle and then stack layers pressing slightly to ensure they stay tight.  Refrigerate overnight or at least several hours.  Remove from fridge and slice into desired cookie thickness.  Cut slices into triangles as pictures show and transfer to cookie sheet.  Bake in 350 F oven for about 8 – 10 minutes.  Do not over bake.
