These are a delicious change to Garlic Bread. So good!
Requires: Ankarsrum Mixer with the stainless bowl and roller & scraper.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp instant yeast
- white flour to make soft dough
Also need for later: 3/4 cup butter, 2 garlic toes, 1 tbsp Italian seasoning. Parmesan Cheese.
Add all the dough ingredients except yeast and flour to bowl and mix till blended. While still on low add approx 2 cups of flour slowly, once blended in add the yeast. Continue adding flour till you have a soft dough, approx 5 cups. Adjust arm from side as required. Turn speed dial to 3 o'clock and set timer for 6 minutes. When done remove dough to a small bowl and allowed to rise, this time I did a slow rise in fridge for approximately 6 hrs, or could allow to rise on counter till double in bulk if want sooner. When ready, shape into small balls.
Place butter, garlic and Italian seasoning into large cast iron skillet and saute for a few minutes, remove from heat. Place a few balls at a time into the pan tossing to coat., move to the side and add a few more toss till coated, repeat till all are done, there should be just a bit of space between, I used about 3/4 off the balls and froze remainder for another day. Sprinkle generously with Parmesan.
Place skillet back into 400 degree Barbecue and bake till slightly golden about 20 minutes. Enjoy as these are absolutely delicious!!
