Pumpkin Pie

With the Thanksgiving long weekend just days away, our appetites are growing.   For some its the Turkey and Stuffing for others the Sweet Potatoes and Pumpkin pie.  Whatever your likes, we all need a to take a moment to be thankful for the wonderful people that make our lives complete and  the fortune we have to live in this beautiful country of Canada.  My absolute favorite: the pumpkin pie, whether you take time to make your own crust or not, the filling is easy to make yourself.  Here is the recipe my precious mom shared with me and taught me how to make may years ago and now I share it with you.

Use the 3.5 L bowl and beater.

  • 1 1/2 cup fresh Pumpkin
  • 1 Tbsp Flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp.. Ginger
  • 1 1/4  tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk

Whip all together till smooth, pour into baked 9 inch pie crust and bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until done. Top with whipped cream if desire
